Okay so dice rolling in here is based on assigning a random number. For instance, most rolls will be rolling a 20 sided dice 1 time, which means you are looking for a number between 1 and 20. To do this you use the [rand][/rand] code with the numbers 1,20 in between the code, which will come out looking like this.
