It was the most beautiful day in Charleston, South Carolina that anyone could remember in recent memory. The sun was shinning and surprisingly not too hot for this time of year. The people in the city carried on like usual, almost completely unaffected by the war. Most citizens were sure there were mutants in the city, but they kept to themselves, the way any group of outsiders should. People in this coastal southern state just couldn't figure out what all the fuse was about.
Until today...
"We are live at the Medical University of South Carolina, where researches are claiming that later this week they will unveil their scanner which claims to be to determine if a subject has mutant properties or not. This comes as human/mutant relations are at an all time low, and tensions are high. Dr. Shawn Henderson is with us to talk about the his team and the research they have been doing. Doctor?"
Troy Hopkins watched a report across the street interview a doctor about mutants. The war was over wasn't it? Why was the government and the common people still trying to strip mutants of their God given rights? He had had enough. This scanner was going to make life worst than hell for him, and his fellow mutants. He started walking towards the reporter...
